Interests & Involvement: I was going to start off by saying I'm a student, but really, I don't think that's the most important characterization I would give myself. First and foremost, I'm intrigued, intrigued by who might be reading this now, by languages, by people, by science, by art, by history, by life. I'm also a brother (of a brother and of two sisters), a son, a grandson, a friend, a volunteer, and an activist. Now, I guess it's safe to say, I'm a student. I studied all sorts of things for 2 years at Mount A. and am studying at American University in Washington, DC for this academic year on a Killam Fellowship. I decided to do a general B.A. program with 3 minors in German, Biology, and Classics (with nearly half my degree being electives) in order to satisfy all the interests I had during my first few years of university. Now, I've developed a more specific interest in immigration and public health which I hope to pursue after my undergraduate degree. |
